Minimum Requirements
- Degree qualification in Mechanical, Mining, Chemical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in technical sales of capital equipment within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical sales teams and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of capital project sales cycles and complex B2B solution selling.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and decision-makers at all organisational levels.
- using CRM systems and sales pipeline management tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Africa and occasionally internationally.
- Valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Capital Sales Engineers across Africa.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve capital sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mining customers, EPCM partners, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the mining and mineral processing sector.
- Lead technical presentations, customer workshops, and value-based solution discussions.
- Oversee the development of technically sound and commercially competitive proposals.
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements and capital project opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to inform business strategy.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
- Represent FLSmidth at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
- We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Capital Sales Engineering – Africa to lead our Capital Sales Engineering team and drive the growth of FLSmidth's capital equipment and solutions business across the African region.
