Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Trade-related training will be advantageous
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in plumbing maintenance or a related technical environment
  • within facilities management, campus, commercial, or industrial environments will be advantageous
  • Plumbing maintenance and repairs

  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance activities.
  • Assist with reactive and emergency plumbing repairs.
  • Support installation, replacement, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Assist with leak detection, pipe repairs, blockage clearing, and fixture replacements.
  • Ensure allocated work orders are completed within agreed service levels.
  • Achieve an average of four completed work orders per day where operationally feasible.
  • Prepare and organise tools, equipment, and materials required for assigned tasks.
  • Maintain tools in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
  • Report damaged or missing equipment.
  • Assist with stock control and material usage reporting.
  • Comply with all Tsebo SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Wear and maintain required PPE.
  • Identify and report safety hazards.
  • Maintain safe work practices at all times.
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Complete maintenance checklists and documentation accurately.
  • Provide material requirements to the Senior Technician.
  • Update work order information as required.
  • Report maintenance issues and potential risks promptly.
  • Maintain clean and organised work areas.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
  • Support good housekeeping practices in workshops and plant rooms.
  • Protect client and company assets during maintenance activities.
  • Interact professionally with clients, students, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Provide courteous service and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Support team members in achieving operational objectives.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and training initiatives.
