Reward Analyst

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in employee remuneration, benefits, or wellbeing administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating employee wellbeing programmes and managing service providers.
  • Knowledge of job evaluation methodologies (Patterson or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR information systems.
  • Understanding of remuneration frameworks, pay structures, and incentive schemes.
  • Familiarity with relevant labour, tax, and benefits legislation.
  • Knowledge of remuneration survey processes and basic reward analytics.

  • Compile, validate, analyse, and interpret remuneration and benefits data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reward reports for management, governance forums, and Human Capital decision-making.
  • Support internal equity analysis and external competitiveness assessments through structured data analysis.
  • Maintain data integrity, consistency, and confidentiality within HR information systems and reporting tools.
  • Participate in remuneration and benefits surveys, including job matching, data submission, and quality assurance.
  • Analyse market benchmark data and provide insights to support pay structure reviews, salary positioning, and reward recommendations.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging reward practices to support competitive and sustainable reward frameworks.
  • Administer remuneration, benefits, and wellbeing programmes in line with approved policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate annual and cyclical reward processes such as salary reviews, incentive administration, and benefits enrolments.
  • Support the implementation, coordination, and ongoing administration of employee wellbeing initiatives across the organisation.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of employee reward and benefits information.
  • Ensure reward and benefits practices comply with relevant labour, tax, and benefits legislation, as well as internal policies and governance standards.
  • Maintain accurate remuneration and benefits records to support audits, statutory reporting, and internal reviews.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing reward-related documentation, data, and explanations.
  • Identify and flag governance risks, inconsistencies, or deviations from approved reward frameworks.
  • Provide guidance and first-line advisory support to employees and line managers on remuneration, benefits, and wellbeing policies and processes.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital teams, Payroll, and line management to ensure consistent application of reward practices.
  • Manage working relationships with external service providers, including wellness, EAP, medical aid, and retirement fund administrators.
  • Support communication and awareness initiatives to promote understanding of total reward offerings.
