  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • A valid (Code B or higher) driving license.   • C ommunity development and client liaison (internal and external)

  • I nformation systems that aid in the management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function
  • P roject management
  • O perational management practices
  • P olicy development, and operational management, monitoring and review processes
  • M odern systems of governance and administration
  • P ublic service procedures, processes and systems
  • R egional and local political, economic and social affairs impacting on the provincial government of the Western Cape. Skills in the following: C omputer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain good relations between the Department and safety partners (i.e. Community Police Forums (CPFs), Neighbourhood Watch (NHWs), district municipalities, Community Safety Forums (CSFs ), South African Police Services (SAPS)
  • Administer the Community Safety funding system
  • Conduct formal assessments on the functionality of the safety partners [e.g. Community Safety Forums (CSFs)
  • Facilitate effective and efficient communication with safety partners and stakeholders
  • Managerial/Supervisory functions.
