Minimum Education Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R254) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. OR A 4 year Bachelor Degree in Nursing (R174) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R1497 or R171 plus R1497) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.

Minimum Requirements
- Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R254) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. OR A 4 year Bachelor Degree in Nursing (R174) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R1497 or R171 plus R1497) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Planning and organisational Skills. Self- discipline and motivation. The ability to function independently under pressure. Good communication skills.
- Willingness to assist / relieve at other Primary Health Care facilities (e.g. Community Day Centres, Clinics, Satellite Clinics, Mobile Clinics). Willingness to work shifts and assist in the hospital when needed. Willingness to work overtime when needed. Valid driver’s license.
- Grade 1: None Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of quality comprehensive nursing care within the Primary Health Care context. Maintain ethical practise within legal and regulatory frameworks. Maintain a constructive working relationship with all relevant stakeholders of the Primary Health Care Team. Utilize human, material and physical resources efficiently and effectively. Participate in training programmes and research activities. Maintain workplace disciplinary of sub-ordinates.
