  • Expertise in quality improvement, infection prevention and control strategies and in-depth knowledge and application of Ideal Hospital.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the District Health System and the implementation thereof, relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health, Western Cape as well as experience in office administration, human resource management, financial management, supply chain and procurement processes.
  • A minimum of 8 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience at management level.

  • Provide leadership and co-ordinate the nursing service within designated levels of care. Manage and monitor the cost-effective utilisation of human, financial and physical resources Manage nursing research, nursing practice development and training programmes. Clinical governance and realisation of strategic goals and objectives of the Nursing Division. Manage nursing quality assurance Programme and develop nursing policies.
