Minimum Requirements

  • Hold a relevant BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
  • Additional relevant qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Have 3–5 years’ experience in business/commercial banking, financial services, or credit application processes.
  • Have experience within the banking, services, or financial sector , including exposure to Commercial or Asset‑Based Finance.
  • Proven track record in sales , particularly in new business development or "hunting" roles.
  • Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements .
  • Understanding of Asset-Based Finance products and deal structuring.
  • Knowledge of credit applications , banking processes, and risk principles.
  • Solid analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Build, cultivate and manage strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, senior stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Explore and develop new business opportunities to expand and strengthen the business’ market presence.
  • Deliver on sales targets and contribute to the growth of profitable business.
  • Analyse, identify and develop tailored solutions for corporate clients, including complex and high‑exposure portfolios.
  • Preparing and presenting high‑quality credit applications to Credit Committees.
  • Create new opportunities and contribute to book growth and C&I strategy.
  • Analyse credit information to assess risk and ensure deals are structured appropriately.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and risk policies to provide proactive advice.
  • Implement strong business processes to minimise risk and address findings from internal or external audit reviews.
  • Ensure accurate, timeous, and high‑quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Execute strategies by translating them into actionable goals with defined performance measures and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into improved products, processes, or services.
  • Participate in development activities to enhance own capability.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the economic environment, business risks, sector trends, and financial reporting, applying these insights to client engagements and business opportunities.
