  • BCom Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience working as an Accountant
  • Previous FMCG / Retail / Manufacturing industry experience is an advantage
  • Commercial Finance experience would be an advantage
  • Strong working experience on SAP and Excel is required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Trade Term Agreements for all customers.
  • Manage Trade Term Agreements and applicable accrual percentages within SAP.
  • Review and approve Trade Term deductions in line with agreed customer terms.
  • Perform monthly Trade Term accruals and reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances where required.
  • Calculate quarterly and annual Sales Growth Incentives in accordance with agreed commercial terms.
  • Maintain accurate Growth Incentive accruals and perform monthly reconciliations.
  • Raise accruals for Consultant Commissions
  • Process adjustment journals relating to incentives, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Liaise with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to confirm and validate monthly trade spend.
  • Prepare and raise monthly Fixed Trade Spend accruals.
  • Review, assess and process accrual adjustments to ensure trade spend is accurately reflected in the financial records.
  • Update the monthly Master Pricelist following approved Marketing and Finance inputs and communicate changes to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain Promo Mandates in SAP, ensuring pricing and promotional information is accurately captured and maintained.
  • Load quarterly Sales Budgets into SAP accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Perform Marketing P&L calculations and provide supporting financial analysis as required.
  • Foster strong and collaborative relationships with Commercial teams to facilitate effective communication and financial support.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure trade activity follow-ups, queries and financial matters are addressed accurately and timeously.
