Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma (equivalent or higher qualification)
- A minimum of 1-year relevant experience.
- Proven Knowledge in the following: Public Finance Management ACT (PFMA), National Treasury Regulations (NTR), OPTI, Division of Revenue Act (DORA), department instructions and delegations
- Compilation of financial statements, Financial Management Systems (FMS) and PERSAL
- Cash flow procedures (monthly reporting on revenue and expenditure)
- Budget process
- Skills needed: analytical, problem-solving, report writing, communication (written and verbal), proven computer literacy (MS Office packages), and numerical and mathematical.
- Knowledge of and working experience with the legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line functions
- Knowledge and understanding of information systems that aid in the
- management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function

Responsibilities
- Provide budgeting and planning services
- Provide budget monitoring and reporting services
- Implement and maintain financial management policies and processes
- Maintain financial Information and knowledge management
- Coordinate budget inputs from Head Office, SDA’s, Chief Directorates and Facilities
- Assist with the compilation of the Medium Term Expenditure: Framework (MTEF) budget
- Compile and manage Adjustments Budget submissions
- Capture and maintain approved budgets and adjustments on BAS
- Align departmental budgets with strategic plans, APPs and operational plans
- Perform costing of programmes, projects
