Minimum Requirements

• An appropriate 3-year National Diploma (equivalent or higher qualification)
• A minimum of 1-year relevant experience.
• Proven Knowledge in the following: Public Finance Management ACT (PFMA), National Treasury Regulations (NTR), OPTI, Division of Revenue Act (DORA), department instructions and delegations
• Compilation of financial statements, Financial Management Systems (FMS) and PERSAL
• Cash flow procedures (monthly reporting on revenue and expenditure)
• Budget process
• Skills needed: analytical, problem-solving, report writing, communication (written and verbal), proven computer literacy (MS Office packages), and numerical and mathematical.
• Knowledge of and working experience with the legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line functions
• Knowledge and understanding of information systems that aid in the
• management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function

• Provide budgeting and planning services
• Provide budget monitoring and reporting services
• Implement and maintain financial management policies and processes
• Maintain financial Information and knowledge management
• Coordinate budget inputs from Head Office, SDA’s, Chief Directorates and Facilities
• Assist with the compilation of the Medium Term Expenditure: Framework (MTEF) budget
• Compile and manage Adjustments Budget submissions
• Capture and maintain approved budgets and adjustments on BAS
• Align departmental budgets with strategic plans, APPs and operational plans
• Perform costing of programmes, projects
