Minimum Requirements

• An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree)
• A minimum of 3 years’ management experience in Freight, Logistics, or Rail Planning or Operations.
• Knowledge of and working experience with the legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line functions
• Information Systems that aid in the management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function
• Project Management
• Operational Management practices Knowledge and understanding of procurement and tendering processes
• Information Systems that aid in the management of knowledge and information pertaining

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of freight rail strategies and projects
• Manage engagement, coordination and collaboration with freight stakeholders
• Manage freight rail data, information, and systems
• Plan and manage the work of and account for the overall performance of the Sub-Directorate
• People Management
• Financial Management.
