Minimum Requirements

• An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification)
• PSIRA registration minimum Grade B
• A minimum of 3 years middle management experience in a security environment
• A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also Working knowledge of the following: Legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices in relation to safety and security
• Information systems that aid in the management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function
• Project management
• Operational management practices
• Procurement and tendering processes
• Recommendation N/A
• Working knowledge of the following: Legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices in relation to safety and security

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the provisioning of security to safeguard the assets of the provincial government (employees/property/visitors)
• Facilitate the provisioning of outsourced security service providers to departments
• Plan and manage the work of and account for the overall performance of the Sub-directorate
• Financial Management
• People Management.
