Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or relevant equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
• Tradesman Certificate - Electrician
• 1 - 3 years' experience as an Electrician
• Computer literacy
• A valid driver's license (Code B)

Responsibilities

• Control maintenance and construction work to ensure effective maintenance procedures in adherence and compliance with statutory requirements to stop assets from deteriorating and ensure compliance to Council policies and procedures
• Occupational health and safety to ensure safe working conditions
• Perform inspections SABS 0142 wiring code, refrigeration inspections to ensure safety to all occupants
• Comply and enforce the compliance with all safety regulations as a requirement of the OHS Act to ensure the safety of all occupants of the CoE building
• Perform admin and general duties to promote productivity to ensure compliance.
