Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent level of competence
  • Minimum of 2-5 year’s working experience in similar role

  • Proven costing & stock control/store keeping Duties & Responsibilities Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel.
  • Prepare and control the store's budget, aiming for minimum expenditure and maximum efficiency.
  • Manage and monitor stock levels.
  • Ensure the store complies with all legal health and safety regulations.
  • Administer the ordering of all food, resale, and beverage items.
  • Operate as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Receive all stock from suppliers according to Tsebo policies and procedures.
  • Issue all stock from fridges, freezers, dry stores, and chemical stores in accordance with company specifications regarding portion sizes, quantities, and specified timeframes.
  • Ensure the costing of stock, meals, and functions is completed accurately, timeously, and daily.
  • Receive all invoices daily on Tsebo Source.
  • Conduct weekly stock takes.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene in accordance with Tsebo standards.
  • Plan ahead to ensure stock availability and report any stock shortages or unavailability.
  • Ensure all storerooms, fridges, and freezers are clean, and that all products are correctly stacked and date-marked at all times.
  • Manage all wastage and leftovers effectively.
  • Complete proper handovers when necessary.
  • Build and maintain supplier and client relationships.
  • Ensure the safekeeping and protection of all products and equipment in the storeroom.
  • Report and, where possible, take action regarding customer complaints and compliments.
  • Provide relief support in this and other local units from time to time and carry out any reasonable requests from management.
  • Ensure stock rotation procedures are implemented and maintained.
  • Report on product quality.
  • Operate within the prescribed store operating hours.
