- Desirable Qualification and Affiliations:SAIPA, CIMA, SAICA
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting and project finance environment, At least 2 years of experience in investment decision-making
- SAP Project System, Investment Management, MS Office Suite, Project Portfolio Management System.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
- Knowledge of FIDIC (The international Federation of Consulting Engineers)
- Strong analytical and investment analysis capabilities.

- Lead the annual capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of capital projects in alignment with Rand Water’s policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
- Act as a strategic business partner to technical and operational teams, providing expert financial advice on capital project expenditure and resolving finance-related queries.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders like Senior Quantity Surveyors and Capital Execution Departments to calculate Authorised Votes (AV) for capital projects.
- Perform comprehensive financial due diligence assessments on all qualifying bids submitted for consideration.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions in the organisation.
- Ensure compliance of capital expenditure with relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks, company policies, and IFRS accounting standards.
- Facilitate internal and external audit engagements and ensure audit readiness.
- Represent the Finance Business Unit in capital project-related committees and stakeholder forums, providing insight and recommendations.
