Responsibilities

  • Sales – Originate, structure, sell and execute cross asset Structured Products to clients across and into Africa Regions. Demonstrate a proficient understanding of Structured Products to effectively communicate product benefits and features and address client and/ or other internal stakeholder requests and queries.
  • Client Management - Prepare client presentations, trade ideas and other information required for client engagement. Deliver relevant information in a confident and creative way, while ensuring swift and accurate information availability. Maintain regular contact with clients to assess and understand their requirements, broaden existing relationships and grow the Africa Regions & International client base.
  • Client Engagement - Identify the needs of clients across Africa Regions & International and actively pursue sales opportunities, assisting clients in selecting appropriate and suitable products given their needs and ensuring seamless execution and exceptional client experience.
  • Product Development – Structure and develop new products and solutions to meet client needs across Africa Regions & International.
  • Market development – To work with Structured Products team Africa Regions, Africa Trading and country teams in positioning Standard Bank as the preferred partner for clients across Africa Regions through market development events, seminars, conferences, etc
  • Collaboration - Liaise with partners across Global Markets, Client Coverage, Investment Banking, BCB, PPB and TXB to identify new/ cross selling opportunities.
  • Stakeholder management - Develop and maintain effective business relationships with external stakeholders, maintaining high standards of ethics and attending to all critical issues to optimise protection of CIB’s business interests and credibility
