Responsibilities
- Supporting NSM’s in strategic decisions driving top-line growth to maximize profitably in both the wholesale and retail channels
- Incorporate specific customer and business insights into the company's planning process
- Modelling and quantifying financial impact of potential strategies
- Review financial proposals and performance analysis to support key account monthly / quarterly governance review processes
- Forecast and Budgeting – Fixed and Variable spend (including discount analysis and predictions)
- Month end – provide reports summarising performance with the ability to identify issue s(specifically focusing on Cost of Business and Customer margin)
- Management of retrospective discount accruals to ensure costs are appropriately captured. Understanding of any rate differences versus forecast
- Billings/Deductions – reporting of deductions and working with sales team to ensure all deductions are adequately provided for, closed and released timeously
- Analyse promotional plans, events and themes, and partner with key account manager to optimize spend ROI whilst balancing customer, consumer/shopper and competitor dynamics
- Close partnership with Sales & Finance teams to provide decision support and guidance in ensuring the quality and understanding of investments, both pre and post event.
- Management of promotional accruals – reporting on accruals and supporting sales and customer finance clearing deductions/making customer payments
- Provide input into pricing decisions through co-ordination and control of the pricing strategy. This includes providing recommendations on price increases relative to competitors, market environment and pricing elasticity evaluating the volume-value equation
- Responsible for category cycle, promotion and strategic pricing meetings
- Maintenance of price list on the sharepoint/SAP and Trade Promotion Management system
- Management of the Pricing Administrator
- Involved in the continuous improvement, development & testing of the Trade Promotion Management system

- Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree with accounting/financial base
