Staff Nurse Grade 1 to 3 (2 posts)

Western Cape Government: Department of Health and Wellness is recruiting for Staff Nurse Grade 1 to 3 (2 posts) in Barrydale and Suurbraak Clinic, Swellendam Sub-district, Overberg District.

Minimum Requirements

• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Outlook. Ability to function/make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Good communication, interpersonal relationships, exceptional leadership and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health and Wellness, Western Cape
• Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration at SANC as an Enrolled Nurse. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Valid (Code B/EB driver’s license and willingness to travel. Willingness to support when necessary and to work at other clinics in the Sub-District as well as on Mobile Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical nursing care. Development and implementation of basic patient care plans. Effective utilization of resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development.
