Assistant Director (Internal Control): Assurance Services

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render an assurance service to the Department.

Minimum Requirements

• An appropriate Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7) equivalent or higher qualification in Internal Auditing (Majors in Auditing and Financial Accounting); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an internal control and governance environment.
• Knowledge of the following: Recommendation None.
• None.
• Competencies Knowledge of the following: Recommendation None.
• Key Performance Areas Provide Assurance Services; Management of irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure and investigations; Report to key stakeholders on the financial governance and compliance environment; Co-ordination of internal and external auditors;
