Administrative Officer: Admin Support Facilities Maintenance (Elsenburg)

The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render an effective and efficient administration service and assist in the co-ordination of the operational duties of the component.
Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate 3 year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 1 year relevant experience; A valid (Code EB) driving license. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also Competencies Knowledge and understanding of the following: Relevant legislation/ policies/ prescripts and procedures; Financial regulations and instructions to ensure smooth administrative functioning of the financial administration and procurement; Working procedures in terms of the working environment; Disciplinary code and procedures; OHS procedures; People management. Skills in the following: Written and Verbal communication; Planning and organising; Computer literacy (MS Office Package); Analytical; Report writing and problem solving skills.
- R 325 101 – R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)
- Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. All shortlisted candidates shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
