The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government (WCG), has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to conduct compliance audits at registering authorities, driving license testing centers, vehicle testing stations, manufacturers, builders, and importers; manufacturers of number plates; driving schools; and motor dealers, as well as evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of governance, risk management, and control.
Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); a minimum of 3 years' experience in a traffic law administration working environment; and a valid (Code B or higher) driving license. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also Competencies Knowledge of the following: National Road Traffic Act, 1996; Western Cape Provincial Road Traffic Administration Act, 2012; National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000; National Traffic Information System (eNaTIS); Provincial Road Traffic Regulations; eNaTIS policies, processes, and procedures; Information Management; Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999; National Treasury Regulations; and Provincial Treasury Instructions.
- Skills needed: Numeracy, literacy, computer literacy, written and verbal communication, project management, accounting, finance, and audit; economic, financial, and statistical analysis; legal administration; reporting; problem-solving; planning; organizing; ability to work under pressure; willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.

- Note on remuneration: In addition, service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
